What types of therapy do you offer?

I offer a variety of therapeutic approaches including Somatic Experiencing® by Peter Levine, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Trauma Touch Skills Therapy by Kathy Kain. All of those are altered for each client.

I offer individual sessions (online and in-person) and I am not accepting couples this time.

My sessions are 60 min or 90 min.

How can I book a therapy session?

You can book a therapy session by visiting using the online booking system,(https://kokorowellness.janeapp.com/) or by contacting us directly via email.

If you live in Japan, please send me an email - I will send you a link to book sessions.

My regular office hours are:
Monday - Saturday 
2PM - 9PM PST 
8AM - 4PM JST

Question 3

What are your fees and payment methods for therapy sessions?

My current rates are:
60 min session - CA$150+ 5% GST
90 min session - CA$220+ 5% GST

If you are under extreme financial distress, please contact me directly for sliding scale rates.

Payments: E-transfer, Visa, Master Card, American Express etc.(https://docs.stripe.com/payments/cards)

*My services are covered by multiple insurance providers in Canada. Please ask your provider if RTC's are covered.

Do you take insurance?

Manulife, Sun Life, Alberta Blue Cross, Equitable Life of Canada, Green Shield Canada, Pacific Blue Cross, iA Financial Group

I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide a receipt you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

Please contact your provider to make sure if RTC is covered.

Do you offer online therapy sessions?

Yes, I offer online therapy sessions via JaneApp.(https://jane.app/) JaneApp uses SOC2 Type 2, which is the same security as many banks use, to secure client information and video sessions.

How often should I come to therapy?

Accepted Answer

Many clients start with weekly or bi-weekly sessions. It is important for me to understand your system as quickly as possible and for us to co-create the therapeutic relationship together.

That being said, the pace and frequency are flexible and based on your goals and needs. There is no minimum session requirement.
